Welcome to Mrs. Rigney's Class Website
I have created this website with the purpose of developing a partnership with my students and parents in order to encourage communication. Strong communication between home and school allows for maximizing student learning and positively impacting the classroom environment. The website will be updated weekly with the weekly focus of the week, spelling and vocabulary words, and important reminders. Student resources will also be updated as needed. About Me

My name is Michelle Kim Rigney-Simana and I am a Kindergarten teacher at Coral Reef Elementary. The 2022-2023 school year marks my 17th year teaching for Miami-Dade County Public Schools and before that, I was a substitute teacher for 10 years prior marking 27 years of experience in educational field. During this time, I had the pleasure of teaching kindergarten, first, second, third and third grade gifted. I obtained my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Nova Southeastern University where I graduated with honors. I am also ESOL, and Gifted certified. I am also a Clinical Supervisor for future Interns!
