Home learning in our classroom is assigned as a weekly packet but should be done daily for the purpose of reinforcing concepts in reading and language arts that have already been taught and to create work study habits that students will be able to utilize throughout the years. While parents are encouraged to review home learning with their children, they should allow their child to complete the assignments independently on their own in a timely fashion. Math pages will be ripped out daily and brought back to school the following day. Additionally, the district requires 30 minutes of daily reading which can also be done as Iready. Be sure to have your child write the title of the book daily or write Iready. Parents will sign the home learning cover sheet as well as the reading log at the end of each week. Home learning is checked for completion not accuracy. Home projects will be given with more than enough time to complete. If you have any questions please see me. Also, if I see that you child is not completing classwork I will send it home. This is not part of home learning but I would not like to see your child get behind. Thank you for your support.
